This reissue of the popular "Harper Hair's Socialist Utopia" adds as a bonus the track "Lost in a Network of Black Pipes", taken from the "Crippled by Insecurity album. HHSU came out in 2011, CbI in 2012. For those of us who were there, they may as well have come out yesterday, so potent is the prophetic power of these works.

But at the same time, when I think about those days... it seems like another universe. And even though much of our energies may have been spent grousing that our genius wasn't properly recognized, and things like that - yet there was still a sense of innocence. Who could forget it? Who can pretend not to be affected by these memories? I wouldn't want to live in the past. But, whatever you say, for those who were there, only a machine could fail to feel emotion welling up, when recalling the times these works were made.
